Timeshares Only Scam
Timeshares are a very popular and fancy way to spend holidays, renting or buying a studio or apartment in a luxurious resort somewhere in the world. This idea sounds exciting and appealing, because it combines two of our top favorite things; vacations and low cost. Indeed timeshares offer the chance to spend a romantic week or two away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, in a secluded and relaxing resort, at some beach, island, mountain or wherever you dream of. Many people consequently buy timeshares, and many of them try to sell them in order to invest in something new, or reinvest in the same field somewhere else. Things though are not always so rosy. Ever heard of the ‘Timeshares Only scam’?
There is a company called ‘Timeshares only’ in Florida that claims they can get you great deals and huge money if you do business with them. They promise really good money for your timeshares, as they work as mediums and can sell them for even bigger money than you originally spent to buy them, or at least close to that. No matter how exciting and promising this sounds, a simple search online will prove to you that there is a long list of disappointed and scammed clients, that either lost their money or worse, lost their properties.
There are negative feedbacks and comments of people who say that they had to give money in advance so as to start dealing with Timeshares Only, who promised them to rent or sell their timeshares, asking for large down payments. The money was given but the timeshares were never rented or sold. The company is one of the many legitimate businesses that exist in the field of timesharing, that take advantage of people’s desire to buy or sell something and make huge money by asking for huge commissions. Unfortunately this is just a simple example of what is happening with timeshare properties and their owners who for some reason wish to sell them, should be really careful and have everything in writing before giving money or even starting negotiations.
Remember that not every company is there to fool you and take your money, but you really need to be wary and skeptical, especially when you hear about some ‘too good to be true’ proposals. Timesharing can be fun and offer real enjoyment, so you need to make sure that everything goes smoothly and that all laws and legitimate procedures are followed before you dive headlong into it.
