Taiwan Food
This is due to the fact that most people living in Taiwan are of the Buddhist religion and they don’t eat beef. Other types of meat they use though include seafood and poultry. Many of the true Taiwanese dishes feature a variety of spices to give it a unique flavor. Some of them end up being quite spicy. Some of the common spices you will find added include soy sauce, chili peppers, basil, and parsley.
Most of the dishes from Taiwan culture are relatively easy to make. You will discover that there are many variations of different dishes too. Sometimes they include fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. Taiwan is a poor island and so there are plenty of times when such fruits and vegetables are scarce and the foods have to be prepared without them.
No menu of foods for a given culture is complete without naming some of the delicious desserts that they offer. Ficus is a type of gelatin dessert that is made from the figs of various fruits. It is served cold. Crepes filled with various types of fruit are also very common in Taiwan.
If you go to Taiwan you can expect to eat a variety of different foods that you will love. Be prepared to pay a hefty price for them though as the majority of these food items have to be imported from other countries. Therefore they pass that cost on to the consumers that come in to experience the foods.
