Ringtones for the iPhone
Apple has always worked hard to ensure things are very easy for customers and they didn’t fall short in this area either. You will need to install a program known as GarageBand on your computer before you get started. This is free to do so and the process will only take a couple of minutes to complete. You will also need to restart your computer after you have installed it before you can download ringtones to your iPhone.
There are several ways to get the music to your iPhone from that point. Most people have an iTunes library on their computer. Taking music from that resource is the easiest method. All you need to do is click on the music you wish to use as ringtones and then drag it into the GarageBand location.
One you have all of the songs from iTunes in there, you need to click on the area that says Cycle Region in GarageBand. This is going to allow you to pick out the section of the songs you wish to have for the ringtones. It can be any part of the song you wish as long as it doesn’t exceed 40 seconds. Once this has occurred you can click the Share button from the menu. Then you will have the song downloaded and synced as a ringtone for your iPhone.
Many people prefer to create their own ringtones though and you can do so using GarageBand for your iPhone as well. The process is only available for Mac users though so if you are dependent upon Windows you won’t be able to do so. You may be able to get access to a Mac though and have it done for you.
