Laziness
This can put a strain on relationships and even cause lazy people to have trouble maintaining employment. In some religions, laziness is considered to be a sin that can’t be forgiven. For individuals who believe in such things the impact that it has on their relationship with their spouse or child can be very difficult. Many people have a difficult time choosing between their family and their religious beliefs.
In our society, we are very caught up with the physical appearance of each other. Those individuals who are overweight are often judged unfairly by others as being lazy. While many overweight individuals don’t eat a balanced diet or get enough exercise there are medical reasons and excessive stress.
Parents often label their children as lazy when they don’t seem to be as motivated as the parent’s would like them to be. While it is very possible that they child is merely lazy there can be other issues that haven’t been addressed. It can also be the result of the child not being interested in the same things the parent’s think they should be.
It is very hard to identify what constitutes laziness as the concept changes by culture and the different parts of society. For example in some cultures women do very little and they aren’t considered lazy as long as the children are cared for and food is on the table. In other cultures women are responsible for bringing home an income, child rearing, keeping a clean house, and much more.
Even individuals in the same culture may view others as lazy because they don’t measure up to the standards they have set. This can lead to some heated debates in homes, among friends, with siblings, and even in the workplace. For the most part though it is quite easy to identify the lazy people, they are the ones kicking back while everyone else is working hard.
