Studying Tips
It is really impossible to study all you need to know at one time so don’t stress yourself out like this. It is inevitable that a test will eventually come up so study for at least 15 minutes each night. This will help to keep the information fresh in your mind and you won’t feel so crunched to learn it all the day before the test.
Reward yourself for having good study habits. It can be something as simple as watching your favorite show on TV or calling a friend after you have studied. Motivate yourself to study before you engage in leisurely activities. They will be more rewarding and you won’t find yourself procrastinating.
It is hard to study when you are distracted though and it doesn’t do you and good to spend the time if you aren’t focused. Take care of things that are distracting you before you study. Make sure you aren’t tired, hungry, or thirsty before you start. Use the bathroom and get comfortable so you can really pay attention to the materials.
Try to get into a regular routine of studying in the same place at the same time. This way your body and your brain quickly learns that this is what that period of time is for. It may take some time to find a routine that works well for you but don’t give up.
Don’t be too hard on yourself when you study. Have you ever spent a great deal of time studying and then did fair on the test? Not all material is easy to comprehend. As long as you gave it your best efforts you should be proud of that. Don’t pay attention to those that say they barely studied and got a good great. In many instances they aren’t being honest about their study time.
