Ski Helmets
Every year there are fatalities on the ski slopes, and the experts say most of them wouldn’t have been as serious if the person would have been wearing a ski helmet. It is possible that some ski resorts will soon be mandating the use of them as it is bad publicity for them when some one dies on their slopes. It also increases the liability insurance and in turn they pass that cost on to those that come skiing.
In order to ensure a ski helmet is the right size you need to measure the circumference of you head. You want to do this about one inch higher than your eyebrows. You will find some ski helmets have a liner that will help keep your warmer. If you want one with this feature you will need to add another inch to the measurement in order to prevent it from being too tight.
If you already have a pair of ski goggles it is a good idea to take them with you when you try on ski helmets. This way you can make sure the two are a good fit together. If you don’t have goggles already then buy them at the same time you are shopping for a hat. This will eliminate trouble for you later on.
Skiing is a great sport to engage in and wonderful exercise. Making sure you have the right safety equipment on at all times is very important. You want to be able to have a memorable experience not one that results in a serious injury. Even if you are an expert at skiing you never know when an accident will happen so everyone should be in the habit of wearing them on the slopes.
