Business Envelopes
They may take the time to include a business envelope for you to send back to them with your payment as well. This is a courtesy that isn’t required but it very convenient for consumers. This type of process helps to ensure the payment will get mailed out on time and to the correct address.
For some types of businesses, they may want their envelopes to be more detailed than that. For example law offices and other professionals like to have their information printed on the envelopes. This can be just contact information and it can also be their company logo as well. The size of the envelopes that will be used depends on the needs. For example they may need to use envelopes that allow materials to be placed in them flat instead of folded.
Some types of documents are too thick to place into a regular size of envelop. There are oversized envelopes for this reason. They also have sizes to hold legal size papers instead of just the standard 8 ½” x 11” that we generally work with. Most business envelopes are white or a light cream color. They want to appear as professional as possible while keeping their expenses for the envelopes to a minimum. When you are using thousands of them a month it really adds up.
For special promotions and advertising purposes though, a business may want to use something more appealing. Red or green business envelopes can help the materials to stand out from the rest of the mail. This can grab the attention of the recipient and encourage them to open it up.
Most businesses buy their envelopes in bulk to help cut down their expenses. They generally get them from office supply stores. The number of envelopes they need as well as sizes will depend on the type of business they do and the volume of it. There are enough options though to meet the needs of any given business.
