Energy Drinks Caffeine Free
Why does it matter? Just how much caffeine is in energy drinks? It turns out that the answer varies widely depending on which brand of energy drink you have in your hand. Some have little to none, some have about as much as a cup of coffee, and some have way more. (Just as a measuring stick, one cup of normally brewed coffee has around 100mg of caffeine in it.) One cup of coffee probably won't hurt you, after all, but it is important to keep in mind that caffeine is a drug and should be respected as such. Too much caffeine is definitely detrimental to your health over the long term (and sometimes even over the short term if you happen to be really sensitive to caffeine and get the jitters or heart palpitations every time you consume even just a little bit).
So what options are out there if you are watching your caffeine intake but still want to find an energy drink to consume after a workout or just as an afternoon pick-me-up? Consider looking for energy drinks that are caffeine free by having other fruit juices or energy boosters in them. One option is looking for an energy drink with a natural substance like acai juice. The acai berry is relatively new on the scene, but already it is known for its energy-boosting and other healthful qualities, with no caffeine. The energy drinks with acai might be a little more expensive, but it is probably worth it to your health and state of mind (not to mention your sleep!) to go with something that is caffeine free. Another option is energy drinks with mangosteen juice, another natural energy-booster that does its work naturally and with no caffeine.
No matter what you choose, and even if it proves slightly difficult to find, there are energy drinks out there that are caffeine free and probably better for you than pounding can after can of something laden with caffeine.
