Cremation Caskets
Cremation caskets can be as simple or as fancy as you want them to be. Some are made of cardboard and others are made of wood. Cardboard caskets are inexpensive and highly functional. Basically they exist to just satisfy the law. They are incredibly inexpensive when compared to the wooden cremation caskets. Cardboard caskets are good for those who do not plan to show the body in a funeral home and are just going to have them cremated.
Wooden caskets are aw little fancier but these still vary in price. At this point, they are designed for several purposes. First, you will never see a metal cremation casket because it will be hard to burn the metal. But if you go with wood, understand that you have several choices. If you need to have a reception to view the body, you will likely want a casket that is a little fancier. If you want to burn them in a wooden casket and will not be showing the body, you maybe able to get away with a wooden casket that is not as fancy or expensive. However if you just want to cremate the body you may be better off with a cardboard container.
There are specific rituals that are attached to burying the dead. If you want to adhere to them, there needs to be a showing of the body. Cremating a body is a little non traditional. There is no ritualistic scene by a grave. Cremation caskets, however, can really help alleviate some of this confusion.
