British North American Act
A very important part of the BNA Act covers the issue of separation of power. This is a very important issue for the structure of any government in order to work out very well. The balance of powers has to be incorporated, identified, and honored so that each part of the government is successful in meeting their obligations.
The parts of the BNA that pertain to the judicial system are in place to maintain law and order for the country. There are also issues relating to the ownership of property. Under this part of the BNA Act, people are able to freely benefit from the ability to own land for their own use or to operate a business.
Canada does have information available in the BNA Act that allows them to cover the issues of marriage and divorce. Canada is one of the few countries in the world that honor same sex marriages. This specific clause isn't written in the BNA Act itself, but based on the information it does contain this particular interpretation was accepted.
The biggest problem with the BNA Act is that it is so loosely written. This means there is plenty of room for different interpretations of the information. This can create some serious debates when it comes to politics. It also leads to some interesting defenses in a court of law. The various ways in which different entities work to smooth out these issues can take plenty of work and time.
The people of Canada continue to heavily rely on various sections of the BNA Act in order to keep things running as smoothly as possible. The goal of the government is to make sure the best interest of the people is taken care of at all times. There is still a great deal of debate though as not everyone has the same beliefs, values, and ideas. Therefore you simply can't use the terms of the BNA Act to please everyone.
