Aloe Vera: This tiny plant just gets better and better with its natural healing properties. Aloe Vera especially works wonders on sun burns. The leaf needs to be sliced in half, lengthwise and then placed on the burn.
The above three are just some of the popular remedies although a number of other kitchen remedies have also be tried by many people and found to be extremely effective. Among these are the use of honey, egg whites, yoghurt and certain soothing essential oils such as lavender oil. Diet also plays a big role in the recovery process. A high calorie and high protein diet is often recommended to people who suffer burns. Since tissue damage includes loss of nutrients, it is essential that the body receives supplements in order to facilitate the healing process.
The most important thing to remember is not to panic. Things may look bad initially, but once you recover from the shock you will find that with a little presence of mind and a good stock of helpful things such as those mentioned above you will be able to handle any burn injury whether it is you who is involved or anybody else in your house.
