Criticisms against the group, however, are not uncommon.

The main reason why BBB criticisms exist is because once a complaint is filed against you or your company, it can damage your business. But the fat that a report was filed can wreak havoc on the customer base from a small company even if the claims are not justified. But one thing that can really be helpful is if consumers themselves take what the BBB has to say with a grain of salt. This means that if a company you do business with ends up on trhe beware list at the BBB read both sides of the story and gather the facts before you decide if the situation affects you or not. Some people cannot be pleased no matter how hard a business tries. For whatever reason they are bitter. Your job is to determine if the company is at fault and if it is a big deal or not. It is a bad idea to make decisions about whether you will do business with a company or not based on one complaint. The issue could have nothing to do with you.
