Tourniquets
So when you are in an area where there are poisonous snakes, spiders, or other creatures, it is a good idea to carry a first aid kit. This kit will contain antidotes to the poison, an allergy kit in case you also have an allergy to the creature, and things like antiseptic and tourniquets. A good first aid kit will also plan for other things such as falls, scrapes, and the possibility that you may need to administer CPR. A small first aid booklet within the kit is also helpful but you should not rely on it. Sometimes there just is not enough time to look through the booklet to find what you need.
So if you know that you will be doing a lot of outdoor activities, it is a good idea to take along a first aid kit. Not only that, but you need to know what to do. You can take basic first aid, CPR classes, and also wilderness first aid. Having a wide range of knowledge as well as knowledge that is specific to problems you could have in the wilderness will greatly increase your chances of survival. This is a good thing because when you are in remote areas you may not have much of a chance unless you know what to do if an emergency happens.
